An eventer as a teen, dressage in it's purest form lured me in during my early twenties. The past decade has seen a passion for typey arabians that can move take a hold, and I doubt will ever let go. The "live in your pocket" temperament that makes the breed so people orientated has had a profound effect on me, and my views of training and riding. The opportunity to combine the two came about one fateful day, when I first set eyes on Shakhaan. An appreciation for the art of training and showing arabians in hand has seen me delve further into the "Halter" side of things with much success, having trained and shown many State and Supreme Champions, mostly young arabians. The next goal is to be as successful in the ridden arena, and in Open dressage competitions. I occasionally take horses for training, either in hand or under saddle. After experiencing European training methods while working for Margo and Harry Boldt for 7 years, I've been able to apply them to arabians, and gotten the same results as with the warmbloods. Getting the basics correct at the beginning makes all the difference, no matter what breed of horse you ride.
